Storm Thorgerson

Storm Thorgerson born in 1944 was an English graphic designer who is
known for his infamous album covers for various bands. He is also known for his design studio called StormStudies, which consisted of freelancers. His most famous album cover would be for the rock group Pink Floyd titled “The Dark Side of the Moon” and many more. Thorgerson works closely with objects and
making them look real without placing them in their traditional form. Several books have been written dissecting three decades of Thorgerson work.
Fig. 1 is the album cover “The Dark side of the Moon” designed for Pink Floyd in 1973.
Fig. 2 is the album cover “Bent out of Shape” designed for Rainbow in 1983.
Fig. 3 is the “The Division Bell”s the fourteenth and last studio album by Pink Floyd released in the UK in 1994.
I like the designs of Thorgerson, I find myself analyzing the covers to figure out their meanings to the title of the songs.
