Here is our place to come together as a class to post your projects and to comment on each other's work. In addition to the project work, each week you will post a short review of the work of a graphic designer found from the list of 68 Graphic Designers posted in week 1 on the syllabus.
Two posts are expected from each student... project work and review work. Each counts as one attendance.

Week 5 - Poster
Sorry, for the delay my computer crashed and I had to start from scratch. I tell you, it is never better than the first time...smh
So sorry to hear that your computer crashed... it can be a major hassle to get it up and running again...
I like the simplicity of your monochromatic color scheme very much and the boldness with which you set the MLK typography.
The gradient overlay ties it all together nicely. One pet key I have is that generally speaking we would never set type one letter over the other as you have with Monument... contemporary practice will set it horizontally and then rotate it to the vertical so that it would read top to bottom. if you were to make that small change it would strengthen the overall effect. Another issue to be aware of is to be consistent about setting margin lines and being careful not to place type too close to the edge.
Wow Toya, you killed this project. your poster is very impressive. I like how you rapped the sentence around MLK face. good stuff, Toya.
ReplyDeleteToya, I totally agree with Gary!! This poster is amazing! It looks professional! Awesome job!!
ReplyDeleteThank you guys, I think we are all doing well considering.
